Summary: We booked a superior twin which was actually two rooms which could have slept 4. 2 in large singles and 2 on a double sofa bed. The rooms were functional and basic. The breakfast which was included was very good. Freshly baked bread and hot food options, cereals, meats and cheese. The location was excellent in the centre of Beaune, in summary, very good value for money, recommended at the price, would go again.

Summary: Our second stay here in 8 days. We keep coming back as its the perfect place to break our journey - very comfortable beds, easy and cheap on street parking just a few paces away, lovely town with lots of restaurants to choose from.

Summary: Loved the location and character of Hotel Athenor. Yes the rooms are a bit awkward but its a very old bldg and full of charm. Our only quibble was they do not provide or even sell morning coffee unless you pay for a full breakfast. My wife and I dont typically eat breakfast so we had to walk a block or two each morning to find take out coffee. Still, we loved Beaune and all it had to offer.
